Pendolino at Poynton (2)
A Virgin Trains' "Pendolino" (http://www.railway-technology.com/projects/virgin/ - Rail Technology) train passes through Poynton Station at high speed. The Pendolino trains are designed to be able to travel at speeds up to 140mph. I doubt that this one would be travelling at its maximum speed but it was pretty quick! Image] Image] and Image] were taken within less than a second, during which time the train covered a distance of nearly 100 yards. No wonder they put up signs warning you to keep away from the edge of the platform to avoid the turbulence.
