Outside Staircase House
As part of the 750th Anniversary of Stockport's Market Charter, Staircase House on the Market Place was open for free tours. Musicians entertained the crowds visiting the historical stalls outside the Market Hall.

The Baker family owned and ran the George & Dragon from 1824. In 1861 it was rebuilt to make room for the new market hall and renamed the Baker's Vaults.
