WWII Cheshire: Macclesfield roadblock, Macclesfield Canal
- Roadblock: DoB ID: S0000231 Clearly visible today on the approach to the bridge over the Macclesfield Canal are the remains of four sets of concrete sockets to take 8 vertical rails. A defensive measure, the rails were intended to be removable in order to allow authorised traffic over the canal. Part of the Western Command Stop Line No 6. Image
