Wood Treatment Ltd, Dane Woodmills
Looking less like a through road than a factory yard for which it also serves as the works straddle and subsume the highway over a few hundred yards.

Road at Bosley Works
The sawmill at this site was extensively damaged by an explosion in 2015, and the road through the site remains fenced off. See also http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5666006 .

Level crossing site at Bosley Works
The lane made an S-bend to cross the railway, which was the former North Staffordshire Railway line between Macclesfield and Leek. The comparison with this 2013 view https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3312282 from the same viewpoint is sobering. The buildings visible in that view were completely destroyed in a massive explosion in 2015 in which 4 lives were lost. The large sandstone slab on the roadside in the centre of the view is a memorial to the victims.

Bosley Station (converted?)
View southward, towards Leek and Uttoxeter; ex-NSR (Macclesfield) - North Rode - Leek - Uttoxeter (Churnet Valley) line. Passenger services on the line ceased 7/11/60, but goods continued North Rode - Leek until 15/6/64. Note the characteristic North Stafford architecture.

Bosley Methodist Church
Erected in 1885. It is some distance from the old village, but the congregation probably consisted largely of workers from the adjacent mills. The cross wing at the far end would have been the Sunday School.
