A roadside mere Chelford Road, Prestbury
Almost at the top of the climb up Chelford Road this roadside mere is perched on a ridge between two brooks. How does it get its water? There must be drainage in and out as these Cheshire meres rarely dry out and also rarely flood. Wikipedia's article on kettle holes explains how they arise.
