Fowlmere: once The Queen's Head
This thatched former pub (one of three in the centre of the village) now houses the Flying Start Montessori Nursery School. Its purple paintwork was less obvious to me when I took Image] in June 2020.

Fowlmere: at the corner of Long Lane
Looking past the War Memorial along the B1368 London Road, which joins the A10 at Puckeridge. The bus - almost empty during the coronavirus pandemic shut-down - was on its way to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.
