Front doorway in the High Street, Baldock
The building is part of a terrace of Georgian houses, probably dating from about 1800. The ogee (double curve) decoration in the 'fanlight' is a Gothick touch. These houses are now fitted with shop-fronts of a later date; it would be interesting to know whether they replaced original features.
