Public Toilets - Stevenage Town Centre
Located in Stevenage Town Centre.
The Public Toilets open Monday to Saturday 9:30am to 6pm and closed Sunday.
Due to be demolished soon to make way for the new Council Office The Hub.

Vista Tower (Southgate House)
Vista Tower or formerly known as Southgate House was an Office Building that used to occupy the Tax Office, Driving Theories and a secondary Council Office.
Built in 1963 as a 15 storey Office Building with a Pub named The Long Ship which was under the building built within the Mezzanine Floor above for the nightclub of that floor. The Long Ship was demolished in 2001 to make way for extra car park space and that the Mezzanine Floor would be converted into office storage space.
In 2015 it was decided that Southgate House would be converted and renovated into 73 two bed flats which works started in May 2015 of the conversion, In March 2017 the building was completed and renamed to Vista Tower to sound more modern and having a view overlooking all of Stevenage Town Centre.

ManuLife Building
This eyesore has provided the youth of Stevenage with entertainment for some time now. Few windows remain intact and some of the lower ones are boarded up. Luckily it is next to the fire station so fires set in this building can be put out rapidly. Recent news is that this is to be converted into a hotel.

Manu-Life Building Retrospective
Back in 1981 this was a modern office block with open plan internal layout. It suffered from poor ventilation and was an early example of 'Sick Building Syndrome'. The planes flying in to Luton Airport always seemed to track over the one corner of the building. I am not sorry to see its demise Image, I think this is one for 'X listing' to be demolished.
