The Globe
Brilliant musical entertainment before a fantastic performance of 'Much Ado about Nothing' at the Globe. The bass instrument is a 'Serpent' ... I've seen several in museums but never heard one played until now.

King Bean and Queen Pea
King Bean and Queen Pea (either side of the mace bearer) are chosen at the end of the Mummers play, being the people who find a bean and a pea in the cakes that are handed out. The King and Queen are then crowned for the day as part of the general revelry, and 'Twelfth Cake' or 'King's Cake' (referring to the three Magi) was once very popular in London.
