The Waterloo area is a dense urban mixture of transport hubs, residential districts, corporate offices and tourist attractions. In the foreground here, hard by Waterloo Station, the stalls of the Lower Marsh street market operate outside the Lambeth Borough's lending library. In the background are the London Eye and the Shell Building.
