Former CMS Headquarters, Waterloo Road (1)
Located at Partnership House, 157 Waterloo Road SE1 8UU, this building was the headquarters for the Church Mission Society until 2007 when it moved to Oxford. This Society, which was founded in April 1799 by William Wilberforce and others, is a group of evangelistic societies working with the Anglican Church and Protestant Christians around the world. Since this photo was taken in April 2010, this building has been demolished and a hotel now stands on this site. A "Welcome to Lambeth" sign can be seen to the right of the photo.

The Three Men I Admire Most
The Father, Son and the Holy Ghost. They caught the last train for the coast...(lyrics by Don MacLean). Actually, the old headquarters of the Church Missionary Society on Waterloo Road. They didn't move to the coast but to Cowley in Oxfordshire. When in use, these offices were known to taxi drivers as Go Forth House.
