Ale Trail
This is the Royal Oak in Tabard St Southwark, Harveys Flagship tied house in London. It is on many a dedicated ale fans pilgrimage trail. In this geographer's humble opinion one of the finest boozers in town. It has won the local Camra Branch pub of the year on numerous occasions. The beer is superbly kept and they serve a traditional steak and kidney pud that is hard to beat. If you are more interested in history than beer try Image Take a look at it in daylight at Image

North-east corner of Tabard Gardens, 1988
The building on the left was comparatively new, replacing a block similar to that on the right. This appears to have housed the less socially conscious elements on the council's books, and got in a very run-down state. It was then demolished.

Two men in a cradle
Spotted while I was sitting in a park eating my lunch, these two workmen were being moved around the outside of the Empire Square tower - presumably for window cleaning or some other form of maintenance. See Image for context.
