Hankey Place Gardens
Despite the name, the small garden is accessed from Pilgrimage Street (the next road to Hankey Place). The first of the spring blossom had just appeared at the start of March.

The Selected Rug Company
The building between Southall Place and Pilgrimage Street is named 74-84 Long Lane. It bears the name "Selected Rug Co". According to a local history leaflet, it was part of the wire weavers Bedford, Steer, End & Co, founded on this site as the original Southwark Wire Works in 1824.
