Bermondsey Street: 'The Garisson' public house
Apologies for the disreputable character in the foreground: He had appeared out of the pub several minutes ago, obviously out of his skull with drink, and remained stubbornly motionless in the middle of the road, ignoring the honks of several vehicles and requests to move - so I had no alternative but to include him in the photograph.

A run of warehouses exhibiting various degrees of modern intervention. Faded lettering on the nearest reads, "Bermondsey / [Mesh & ] Wire Works". The bracketed word has disappeared with the left-hand section of the building.
