Elizabeth Newcomen House
Elizabeth Newcomen House on the corner of Newcomen Street and Crosby Row is owned by the Guy's and St Thomas's Charitable Foundation. It comprises six-storey brick buildings, erected in the 1980’s to house nursing staff. It is named after a lady who died in 1675 and left a substantial educational trust.

The Whitesmiths Arms and ARC nursery
A whitesmith is a person who works with light-coloured metals such as tin, and there was indeed a tin industry in the Bermondsey area at one time. The building to the right is the ARC nursery, run by Charterhouse - see Image
