It appears to have been a popular name for late-Victorian pubs: see this search result http://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=14171358 for others. The peerage is a hereditary one so it is not clear which Lord is commemorated by the name, though the most likely is the first one, Colin Campbell, who was given the title for his part in the Battle of Balaclava. http://www.nndb.com/people/077/000094792/

Clennam Street, Southwark
The changing face of Southwark: the Truman, Hanbury, Buxton & Co Ltd tiles belong to the Lord Clyde pub, but much newer is the top of the Shard poking over the roof.

The Lord Clyde, Southwark
Typical London back-street pub, on the corner of Ayres Street and Clennam Street. Trumans beers have long gone, but it is pleasing that old pub frontages like this one have often been retained.

London Cycle Superhighway no.7 (1)
Several cyclists homeward bound after office hours make use of the newly-opened "London cycle superhighway" on Southwark Bridge Road. These blue-surfaced wide cycle lanes are supposed to improve safety for cyclists as well as providing easy-to-follow routes in from the suburbs.
