Lambeth Walk Group Practice
This was built in 1958 -- prior to being a Medical Centre it used to be a public bath and wash house. Even as recently as the 1950s, some homes nearby did not have hot water or suitable plumbing fitments and so householders would use a shared, public facility for laundry and personal hygiene.

Pelham Mission Hall, Lambeth Walk
A curious building with an outside pulpit! Closed as a church sometime around 1970, was apparently used as a sculpture studio at one time but appeared disused when I snapped it in 2005.

Lambeth Walk
Lambeth Walk was immortalised by the 1937 musical 'Me and My Girl' which included the song The Lambeth Walk, based on a cockney dance. The musical tells the story of a cockney barrow boy who inherits an earldom and loses his Lambeth girlfriend. Although it is a fairly undistinguished street nowadays, it has a colourful history, told here: http://www.vauxhallsociety.org.uk/LambethWalk.html

Former Lambeth baths, Lambeth Walk
Built in 1958 "to provide bathing and laundry facitilies for those without them in their homes", and converted into a GPs' practice in the 1990s. Information from Lambeth Council. If the date hadn't been plastered on the front, the curves and centrepiece would have tempted me to assign this building to the 1930s.
