Vaughan House and 176 Blackfriars Road
On the right a welcome interruption to the otherwise dull post-war housing estates on this stretch of Blackfriars Road. Built for and still used by the Sons of Temperance Friendly Society, whose website records that it was built c1910 to the designs of Arthur Charles Russell. I was surprised to find it unlisted.

Nelson Square
Few of the original houses in this square survive: the rest (including the poet Shelley's former house) have been demolished. There are now medium-rise social housing blocks around three sides, and a small garden and children's playground in the centre.

74-86 Blackfriars Road
Late C18th/early C19th Georgian terrace, each house of four storeys plus basement in three bays. Superficially uniform but in fact of several builds - there are three separate listings (and a bit of modern infill). Grade II listed.
