Emerald House, Lavington Street
Largeish 1950s complex, currently a Lloyds Bank IT centre. There is a plan to demolish it and neighbours for blocks of flats. Such plans are currently two a penny, but most do come to fruition, such are the profits to be made by building uninhabited flats.

View along Lavington Street from Great Suffolk Street
Looking south-southeast. The curved frontage of the Premier Inn dominates this scene. Tucked away between this and the Lloyd's TSB'S Emerald House, just visible in the photo, is the wedge-shaped Britain-Nigeria Educational Trust. The elusive Shard can be seen poking above the buildings on the left. Looking south-southeast.
