Site of tide mill, Pembroke.
The low wall in the foreground outlines the site of the tide mill. Permission for the first mill was granted by the Knights Templar and the last mill burnt down in 1955. Pembroke castle is in the background.

On the west side of Northgate Street facing the Town Quay and Mill Bridge. It was built in the late C18th. The inn is presumably named for the Royal George, a ship which sank with great loss of life in 1782.
