Mid-twentieth century agricultural buildings
The corrugated iron, concrete and brick structures that can be seen in this former farmyard are typical of post-war rural building styles. They could be erected fairly easily were cheap and often involved recycled material. Part of the old property at Image]

Old cottage at Efailwen
Remarkable to find an old dwelling preserved (one would hope intentionally) as perfectly as this one. Everything about it would have been the same 50 or 100 years ago: the roof, the walls the door and the windows. It looks as authentic as any of the buildings re-erected at the National Museum of Wales at St Fagan's.

Rear of old cottage (2)
A peep behind Image] reveals that its traditional appearance is equally perfect there too. The single-storey extension at the rear is typical but the door set high in the wall is seems odd. The windows at the back are protected so clearly this dwelling is being cared for, as one would hope.

Rear of old cottage (1)
A peep behind Image] reveals that its traditional appearance is equally perfect there too. The single-storey extension at the rear is typical and so is the corrugated iron lean-to. The old bath provides the finishing touch!
