Bwthyn Alarch
Another photogenic cottage! The name of this one translates as Swan Cot, which may relate to a local legend about a swan lake, Llyn yr alarch, south of here. This humble dwelling would probably have had only a partially-floored (gallery) upstairs sleeping area and may have once been little more than a hovel. It has been restored with care in traditional style.
