Wiston Castle
The hundred of Daugleddy (between the two branches of the Cleddau river) was divided into two feudal lordships. The eastern half was centred on Llawhaden, and belonged to the Bishop of St David's. The western half was centred on Wiston, and belonged to the Lord Marcher, the first of whom was Wizo Flandrensis, after whom the place is named. Because of its status, Wiston was a Borough by Prescription, and was contributory to the Haverfordwest Borough constituency.
