St Martin's Church Hall
Until recently the interior of this hall had a painted wall depicting hell and damnation for all those who weren't 'believers'. My poor daughter, aged 6 at the time had a Rainbows sleepover there and had to be collected early as the painting was simply too frightening. I believe it has now been painted over.

Haverfordwest County Prison
Originally built in 1779, the prison was regarded as inadequate and inhumane by 1818. A new state of the art prison was built and served Pembrokeshire for the next 58 years after which all the prisoners were held at Carmarthen. The prison became the headquarters for the police until 1862 and now houses the Museum and Record Office.

Inside Haverfordwest Castle is the former prison (closed 1870s) which became the county police headquarters (until 1962). Following alteration and demolition work, the old jail now houses a museum and archives. www.haverfordwestcivicsociety.org.uk

County Records Office at the castle
From Castle Lane. This building was once the local gaol. There is no listing for a CRO or an archive so I'll list it as a building of civic importance.
