Hotel Mariners est. 1625
A very old coaching inn run by the Cromwell family for some time. Bethesda chapel rear is to the right and the Greyhound pub is centre left. St Mary's church looks down on it all.

Pilot's memorial in Mariners Square
This slate plaque on the wall of the house at the southwest side of the square commemorates a WW2 hero. The cherry tree his father planted for him, presumably many years ago, appears to have been recently replaced by a new sapling.
