Council Offices Morgan Street
On the corner of Priory Street, this entrance used to be to the Registrar, in 1978 when I registered my daughters birth. Now it is offices for local Council officials as listed on the notice board.

Police station and court house
These two adjoin each other in Priory Street. The latter is older, dating from 1895 with forbidding, Gothic-style stone facade. The court house next door was built in 1935 with a glazed tile front.
The tower of St Mary's church can be seen to the left on the other side of Finch Square.

Barley Saturday: waiting for the parade
In position well before the start, a street corner outside an ironmonger's shop provides a vantage point for viewing the annual parade of horses and tractors through the town on the last Saturday of April.
