The White Cottage, Newport
Early 19th century in origin, and described as "a good example of the single storey cottages once common in the area" in its 1992 Grade II listing https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/300012496-the-white-cottage-newport#.XZe1uUZKjcs

Tabernacle Chapel
Calvinistic Methodist chapel in Long Street. The structure at right angles to the main building was a schoolroom. The date, 1904, on the chapel records a renovation of the earlier version.

Yellow moulded brick chimney at Tabernacle Presbyterian Chapel
Unusual moulded yellow brick chimney on the Sunday schoolroom attached to the Tabernacle Presbyterian Chapel in Long Street that is neatly matched to the perforated ridge tiles. Interesting wave-edged cast iron gutters echoing the ridge tiles too. A fine solid chapel and school room showing more than usual architectural panache, from around the turn of the century (the chapel was rebuilt in 1904), well taken by Ceridwen here: http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/577174

Youth hostel and eco-centre
This was the old school built 1874 and replaced in the late C20 by a new school in a different location. The West Wales Eco-Centre is a non-profitmaking charity which plays a major part in informing and supporting environmental initiatives, see http://www.ecocentre.org.uk/

Ebeneser across a building site
Very difficult to get an image of this imposing chapel close to, such is the narrowness of Lower St Mary's Street in which it stands. I took advantage of access afforded here by work going on to renovate a cottage in East Street, in order to get this shot. Independent; constructed in mid C19 from Cardiganshire sandstone.
