Ffynnon Ceisiad and red post box
Impressive property name sign in slate with nice decoration. Road passing Parc-y-Big. This huge slate property nameplate was carved by Matthew Billington who trades at www.dragonstonecarving.wordpress.com . I have been asked by Matthew to add his credits for this lovely piece of stone carving.

Snow tracks of 4x4s
The sunshine was a welcome sight this winter, could not go anywhere, unless you had four wheel drive! or energy to walk. Just visible is the television mast at Bryngwyn, and the Climax wind pump rotors of Parc-y-Big, on the blue horizon.

Defunct Windpump
This windpump remains lifted water from a borehole for many years, but an electric pump has taken over, Climax windpump of Parc-y-Big is just visible on sky line through trees.

Stone steps of stile
Three stone steps protrude from the bank to ease the climb up onto the wide field bank, the other side of the bank has two posts and a horizontal tree trunk to help.

Carn Wen
Remains of Carn Wen from the A478, stone is now being quarried again, it was said Carn Wen was visible from Caldy island before the quarry opened many decades ago!

Carn Wen
The quarry has been blasting and mining the stone regularly, the top of the quarry is slowly sinking, a vast amount of huge rocks have been taken out of this quarry and transported by lorry to Towyn in North Wales for the sea defences.
