Disused railway junction
The branch line from Landeilo to Carmarthen closed in 1959 and the permanent way was lifted soon after, but some features were left. Here, a railway gate can be seen in place nearly 50 years after the line closed, but slowly rotting away - it would probably disintegrate if it was opened now. Opposite the gate, looking westwards, the remains of the platform for Dryslwyn station could still be seen - the nearby house is probably the original station house.

The remains of Dryslwyn Station
Closed in 1959, the platform and original station buildings of Dryslwyn station are still relatively intact, seen just after where the railway would have crossed a road, where a full length railway gate is still in place.
