The sign facing eastbound traffic on the A484 Sandy Road is 4 miles (c6.5km) from Parc y Scarlets, the rugby union stadium in Llanelli which opened in November 2008 as the new home of the Scarlets regional rugby union team and Llanelli RFC (Rugby Football Club). The stadium replaced Stradey Park, home of Llanelli's rugby teams for nearly 130 years.
