Preparing for the 1911 Llanelli Railway Strike Annual March and Rally in 2015
At 11.20am on Saturday August 15th 2015, people carrying Plaid Cymru placards have assembled in Great Western Crescent, near the main entrance to Llanelli railway station. They are a small section of a large group of people of various political parties (or none) who will march from here at 11.30am to the graveside of the two men killed by troops during the 1911 Railway Strike. This blue plaque http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2945443 on the side of the Queen Victoria Road bridge gives some details of the 1911 incident.
