Southern end of Chain Road, Glynneath
Some maps give the impression that Chain Road connects with High Street, Blaengwrach. The reality for cars and lorries is that this point, the southern end of Chain Road, is as far as you can go. Ahead, there is a footpath under the A465. The rusty railings on each side of Chain Road are at the edge of the River Neath.

There were no boundary signs to indicate the exact line dividing the neighbouring villages of Cwmgwrach and Blaengwrach, but this mini-roundabout seems a reasonable spot to choose. Viewed from the edge of High Street, Cwmgwrach looking towards Empire Avenue and Church Crescent, Blaengwrach. The left turn leads to the A465.
