Attercliffe Road's trade has changed over the years!
Changing times on Attercliffe Road. A double glazing showroom ahead. Behind it an equipment hire station. To the right there are doors and floors galore. Across the old cobbles, on the left, there's an enterprise not advertised on the street!

Bacon Lane Bridge
Not surprisingly, Bacon Lane Bridge carries Bacon Lane over the canal. It was probably designed by William Chapman and built in about 1819, when the canal was built, and restored in about 1989. It is a curious mix of stone arch and brick parapets. It is a Grade II listed building.
