The B6200 Staniforth Road looking west from Shirland Road. This was once the main A57 Liverpool to Lincoln road before the Mosborough Parkway was built in the early 1990s, I think.

Albert Inn, 162 Darnall Road, Darnall
Situated in the Darnall area of Sheffield and named after Prince Albert, husband of Queen Victoria. The pub sign has a portrait of the prince. The pub was formerly a house of the local brewery William Stones Ltd, now closed. Despite the closure of a large neighbouring factory, closure of the former garage in Bridport Street and demolition of many nearby houses, the pub has survived, together with The Sportsman on the opposite corner of Bridport Road. Image Bridport Street today is much shortened and survives to give access to a park. Not so fortunate is The Ball further along Darnall Road. Image
