Tinsley Viaduct, near Sheffield
Tinsley Viaduct, near Meadowhall, Sheffield, is a double-deck structure carrying the M1 on the top deck and a main road on the lower. The viaduct crosses the Sheffield and Tinsley Canal, the River Don and two railways.

West Tinsley railway station (site), Yorkshire
Opened in 1900 by the Sheffield District Railway on the line from Sheffield Midland to Treeton, this station closed in 1939. View north from Sheffield Road to the remains of the embankment on which the all-wood station was located, and which took the line over road level. No trace of the station remains.

Wild flowers between canal and railway
On the Sheffield & Tinsley Canal,getting near the M1. Wasteland with buddleia, common centaury (the 5 petalled pink flower). Further on there are apple trees, and roses; a veritable garden.

In the background is the Tinsley Viaduct a two-tier road bridge, the first of its kind in the UK. It carries the M1 and the A631 1033 metres over the Don Valley.
