On the far corner of this junction, there used to be a wall with a cut bench mark. More information is available at the Bench Mark Database: http://www.bench-marks.org.uk/bm37320

Shepcote Lane
This view of Shepcote Lane shows the former site of a cut bench mark. The mark was cut into a wall on the opposite side of the road between the telegraph pole and the line of trees. There is no wall remaining, just a metal fence. More information on the bench mark is at the Bench Mark Database: http://www.bench-marks.org.uk/bm37319

Dog fishes at Tinsley canal
Small dog, big stick, no intention of buying a day ticket to fish, I believe it wanted one of those big rods that stretch right across the canal and can touch the power lines if they're lifted up without thinking too much.

Listered too far...
Sunk boat at Tinsley Marina provides much needed accommodation for homeless ducks... Been there for years this one. Maybe the owner still pays mooring fees and the British Waterways (BW) license. Certainly this is not a continuous cruiser. To the owner, please do us all a favour and ask BW to shift it out for you. We could have done it for you during the annual Canal and Footpath tidy-up.

Lock gate overflow at Tinsley canal
Usual at this time of year to see water going over the tops of the lock gates. Lucky really, as maintaining water levels in some parts of the canal system means restrictions on boats going through, or indeed none going through at all.
