Bridleway in Carlton Wood
Woodland of a veritable age with an abundance of yew trees on show. This woodland path is popular with horse-riders and following heavy rain earlier in the day, parts of this track has been reduced to quagmires. I predictably hit the dirt in one of these areas.

St.John the Evangelist's church
St.John's has an 11th century late Saxon tower with herringbone masonry and fin buttresses added in the 15th century. The rest is Decorated, Perpendicular and a restoration in 1831 when the Norman south doorway was re-set in the west side of the tower
