St John's, Blyth Village Green
Cottage, former Village School, and former Hospital of Saint John the Evangelist. Refounded in 1226, the building, once thought to be largely 15th century is now considered to be largely 13th century. Thought to have been the chapel of what was a much larger complex.
Rescued from serious decay in 1964 and turned into residential use. Listed Grade II and also a Scheduled Monument. Note the school bell still hanging on the west wall.
