Village Garage
Whitwell Motor Service Ltd former garage exists, if in a rather dilapidated state, from a time when every village had at least one if not more petrol stations and car repair garages. The telephone number on the front of the building consists of three digits.

Whitwell railway station, Derbyshire
Opened in 1875 by the Midland Railway on the line from Nottingham to Worksop, this station closed in 1964. It was rebuilt and reopened on the same site in 1998.
View south west towards Cresswell and Nottingham. The original station was dismantled in 1981 and rebuilt at the Midland Railway Centre in Butterley.
