This boarded-up building on Clarence Street was once the premises of J.H. Shardlow & Son Ltd 'aerated water manufacturers'. There is no sign of any activity now and it appears the company had ceased trading by at least 2007.

Railway Station, Worksop
Class 08492 leads a trainload of empty MGR coal wagons towards the station and then reverses onto another track. There was, or still is, a railway depot in Worksop and to the west and behind a supermarket are extensive sidings, to where this trainload is heading. Designed for shunting, several hundred of these Class 08s were built by British Rail at Crewe, Darlington, Derby, Doncaster and Horwich between 1953 and 1962. These locomotives averaged 50 tons and operated at a maximum speed of 20mph, which meant they were very rarely seen on main lines.
