Gateford Stores, Gateford Road
Dated 1905, a fine example of a terracotta frontage of the period, largely untouched except for the shop front. A Frith photo from c.1955 shows the firm's name as Allsop, selling furniture and household wares, possibly a descendant of the local chair manufacturer of the same name.

The former Savoy Cinema, Victoria Square
Opened as the Victoria Palace Cinema in 1914 and renamed the Savoy in 1940. It closed in 1960 since when it has been a furniture store.
