Former Theatre in Elsecar
What was the Electra Palace situated close to the railway station in Elsecar. This theatre was later renamed the Futurist but has been disused since the mid nineties.

Leeds-bound train at Elsecar
Local passengers have the dubious pleasure of riding in class 142 diesel units. With only two axles per carriage, these trains do not give the most comfortable of rides unless the track is in really good condition.

Electra Palace, Elsecar
A fine example of an early custom-built cinema, built in 1912. It appears to be unused at present, although the fabric is still in excellent condition. See http://cinematreasures.org/theaters/18473 for more information.
