Leeds Building Society and the Builders Exchange
The latter is dated 1919 in the gable, but the style of architecture is from around 40 years earlier. It compares unfavourably with the modern Art Deco building next to it which is probably no more than about 15 years younger.

Marks and Spencer store, Queen Street
1930s store in Art Deco style. The MS logo over the centre window shows that it was built for M&S in the first place.

Peel Square Barnsley
The large building in the centre used to be the Yorkshire Penny Bank and is now a Public House called Chambers. By the left of the building is Pitt Street and to the right is Peel Street. The old underground toilets are still there and in use.

Barnsley cycle racing
The 65 Roses Barnsley Criteriums were be held on 24th June 2014. The event is brought to you by Team Cystic Fibrosis, who are extremely proud to be hosting an Elite Men’s Race with National A status , an Elite Women’s Race and a supporting race. Bringing cycle racing back into Barnsley after a gap of over 10 years.

Queen Street, Barnsley
Pedestrianised shopping street in central Barnsley. In the background is the Yorkshire Bank building. This was built in 1857 as the Coach and Horses Public House, before becoming a bank in 1912. Listed Grade II.
