Rivelin Hotel, Rivelin Valley, Sheffield
Thought to have been established as a tavern from former farm buildings in 1862, this is one of several local pubs that maintains the tradition of singing South Yorkshire Christmas carols (i.e. non church-hymn book tunes and words). The pub's front entrance is seen here on Roscoe Bank (< road name), a 'C' road leading to the Stanwood area of Stannington, whilst on the right, Tofts Road descends to its junction with Rivelin Valley Road within a matter of minutes.
