Rivelin Bank Water Pumping Station - 1
This Pumping Station, built in 1942 as a precaution against wartime water shortages in Sheffield, is still in full use moving water around Sheffield by electric power. More interestingly, the building houses an original massive diesel pump - a second one has been removed - which is still in full working order. This is the only one in Britain which is still in working order and in its original location. Image Image
