With thanks to Ann, I can say that Laird Court, in Laird Road, is the site of the former Wadsley Manor House ... although the building looks OK, I'll bet the Manor House looked better ... still, that's progress for you.

Wadsley Lodge Entrance
As shown in a separate picture, it appears that these Gate Posts (and earlier gates!) belong to Wadsley Lodge and not the house numbered 3, as this is more modern and not built in stone.

I wonder if they ever get 'crossed lines' around here? A few minutes before this picture was taken, in Rydalhurst Avenue, the skies were quite clear and blue ... that's British weather I suppose.
