Terraced Houses, Upperthorpe, Sheffield - 1
I can't decipher, on my map, if this fine row of terraced houses is a continuation of Brandreth Road or is called Upperthorpe ... seems wrong that their address should be Upperthorpe, Upperthorpe ... so I'm leaving it as 'just' Terraced Houses! For a great view of the rear, see Image

Ebenezer Elliott's House, Blakegrove Road, Upperthorpe, Sheffield
Ebenezer Elliott - The Corn Law Rhymer - lived in this house, according to the Blue Plaque, from 1834 to 1841. The Blue Plaque is just visible to the right of the front door. The house would have been surrounded by countryside at that time ... now, sadly, it is 'just another house' in a street in Sheffield ... Image A statue of Ebenezer Elliott is in Weston Park ...
