Hillsborough Barracks, Langsett Road, Hillsborough, Sheffield
This view. of Langsett Road, shows the full front facade of the complex which was originally the Hillsborough Army Barracks but is now preserved and is mostly a shopping centre. From the left you can see an Entrance Tower, the Hospital Building (now used for business units), the Chapel and finally the Main Barracks Building which housed the Officers (and their servants) ... the latter building is now the Head Office for Sheffield Insulations. The tracks and overhead power lines for the Sheffield Supertram can also be seen.

This sign is situated outside the Hillsborough Barracks building on Langsett Road ... there is no actual gate and trams pass through it (as well as buses) ... but you have been warned!

Another 'Old' Hillsborough Drinking Place ... shown on the 1905 map as the Queens Hotel! Opposite the Hillsborough Barracks, this must have been used by the Soldiers.

Sheffield Insulations at Hillsborough Barracks, Hillsborough, Sheffield - 1
This building is one of the many which made up Hillsborough Barracks. It has been used by Sheffield Insulations for many years. The cars parked in front of the building are on the upper level of Morrison's Supermarket ... the Supermarket itself is on the lower level, as are the cars in the foreground.
