Winn Gardens Estate looking towards the River Don
The River Don flows left to right behind the houses at the bottom of the road. These houses were badly affected during the floods in June 2007. As at March 2008 some families have still not been able to return to their houses. The houses on the hill, in the background, are on the Birley Carr Estate.
Update in 2012 ... the Flood Defence work has now been completed ... see
