Owls Shop and Cantilever Stand, Hillsborough Stadium, Sheffield - 2
The North Stand at Hillsborough is of a Cantilever Design. The first such stand was at Scunthorpe, but Hillsborough's was the first 'full pitch length' Cantilever Stand allowing uninterrupted viewing. Opened in 1961 in readiness for the 1966 World Cup when Hillsborough was one of the featured grounds. This view also shows 'The Owls Shop' premises.
